Logar Valley – listen to the murmur of waterfalls
Logar Valley is one of the most beautiful alpine glacier valleys in Europe. The harmonious coexistence of tradition, man, and nature, as you can find in this area of Solčava, is exceptional and can only be experienced here. You can use your vacation in the peaceful surroundings of the landscape park for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, photo hunting, etc.
You can admire the green nature in the Logar Valley at every turn. Take the Logar trail, a naturalistic-ethnographic trail that leads through the beautiful corners of the preserved nature of the landscape park. Here you will learn about extremely rare or even endangered types of flowers. The valley is also known for its numerous waterfalls, among which the 90-meter Rinka waterfall is especially famous.

Fans of an active holiday can go to the nearby peaks, cycle, climb, or go photo hunting and try to take pictures of animals in their natural environment. Children like to go to the fairy-tale forest, where they meet many famous characters from fairy tales. In winter, the valley is particularly suitable for cross-country skiing, sledding, alpine, and touring skiing, and you will also enjoy climbing frozen waterfalls.

Logar Valley is one of the three valleys in Solčava, so discover the remaining two, namely Roban’s Kot and Matkov’s Kot. The highest farm in Slovenia is located here (Bukovnik, 1327 m). Climb up to mountain huts and peaks or fly a paraglider over the Logar Valley.
In the Solčava region, people are mainly engaged in wood and wool processing, and they are also known for their culinary delicacies such as Gornjo Savin stomach, cheese pie, masovnik, cheese, mutton, game, and pear žlinkroni, štrukli, buckwheat groats, sour milk, homemade cheeses, homemade bread and potica, butter, honey, jams, compotes…
