Where is the most beautiful view of Lake Bled located?

The view of Lake Bled is beautiful from wherever you look, but the width and depth of the view are greater, and thus the view, if you climb one of the three nearby mountain peaks.

These are the peaks of Ojstrica (611 meters), Mala Osojnica (685 meters), and Velika Osojnica (756 meters). Well-marked trails are leading to them, so when you visit Bled, you must walk to take in some of the most beautiful views from them.

Ojstrica, which got its name from its sharp shape, rises high above Lake Bled. The climb, which takes about 20 minutes, is short but steep and worth the extraordinary view from the top.

At the top is a bench with a view of the romantic panorama of Lake Bled. From the top, you can see Straža nad Bled and the steep cliff of Kaštela, Stol, the Sava River, and the long ridge of the western Karavanki. The peaks of Vrtača, Begunjščica, Dobrča, and other mountains are also visible.

Mala Osojnica is a 685-meter high peak that rises above Lake Bled near Velika Zaka and is about a 45-minute walk. It is known as the favorite spot for photographers because all the famous panoramas of Bled were taken from here. Thus, from Mala Osojnica you can enjoy the most beautiful views of Lake Bled, Karavanke, the Kamniška Alps, and the Gorenjska Plain. On the fenced summit, you will find benches, an information board, and a shelter.

For a longer climb, you can continue from Mala Osojnica to Velika Osojnica. It takes an additional 20 minutes of walking, but all this will be rewarded with an exceptional view of Lake Bled and its surroundings, of Karavanke, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and the Ljubljana Basin.
