Such a cool thing! Visit virtual gallery and view the photo contest exhibition “Man and Velebit”

To emphasize the importance of the balance between the preservation of biological diversity and the development needs of the local community, and on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the declaration of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve “Mountain Velebit”, the public institutions Velebit Nature Park, Paklenica National Park, and Northern Velebit National Park organized an interesting photo contest under the name “Man and Velebit” („Čovjek i Velebit“).

The photo competition lasted from November 23 to December 5, and contestants could submit their photos in two categories, “Natural values of Velebit” and “Coexistence of man and Velebit”, and the committee of all three parks then selected the six most beautiful photos, that is, three per category.

After more than hundreds of photos were received, the Velebit Nature Park published all the received photos as well as the winning ones in a virtual gallery that you can view from the comfort of your home through the artsteps platform.

As the organizers said, “The selection was extremely demanding because we received hundreds of photos, all of which are special in their way…”, and now, you can see for yourself too, below the text or at the link.
