Rama Lake is an artificial lake located on the river Rama in the municipality of Prozor-Rama, in the north of Herzegovina. It was created in 1968 by the construction of a dam for the needs of the Rama hydroelectric power plant.
The lake is surrounded by the mountain massifs of Raduša, Makljena, Ljubuša, and Vrana, which give it unreal beauty and make it one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe.

Rama Lake has great tourist potential, which has not yet been sufficiently exploited. You can engage in various activities on the lake, such as rowing, fishing, swimming, camping, cycling, and hiking.
On the shore and in the vicinity of the lake there are numerous cultural and historical monuments, such as the Rama-Šćit Franciscan monastery, the ethnographic museum, the art gallery, the house of peace, the monument to Diva Grabovčeva, and the Gradac archaeological site.

The local community recognized the importance of tourism development on Rama Lake and initiated a series of projects that will contribute to the improvement of infrastructure and offers on the lake.
Rama Lake is the pearl of Herzegovina that deserves more attention and visits. This lake offers an unforgettable experience of natural beauty and peace, but also a wealth of cultural heritage and tradition, so it is an ideal place for rest, recreation, and enjoyment in all seasons.
