What makes Nikšić special? Here are a few reasons why it is worth visiting
Nikšić, the second largest city in Montenegro, located in the country’s northwestern part, is a true blend of history, nature, and modern life. It is a city that lies in the wide Nikšić basin, surrounded by mountains and lakes, while it is enlivened by the Zeta and Gračanica rivers that meander through its heart.
With a history that goes back to the Illyrian era, Nikšić has been known throughout the centuries as Onogošt, whose walls testify to its importance even today, and combines a rich heritage, vivid natural beauty, and diverse cultural contents, making it a place worth exploring.
