In summer the temperature is at comfortable 26-28 degrees making it a great escape from the summer heat in the city. Besides nature, Bjelasnica is filled with great resorts and a funicular which gives you a perfect view. You also have the opportunity to go hiking and trekking. The mountain has various trails of different difficulty levels.

Adria Fun team, while passing through Sarajevo, and on our way to Nikšić, stopped for a night in Bjelasnica and decided to experience one day far from the heat. Once we arrived, we immediately rushed to check out the view from the top.

Luckily, we managed to jump on a last ride to the top of Bjelasnica with the funicular. The ride itself lasts about 20 minutes to the top and additional 20 minutes back, and costs 15 Bosnian convertible marks per person.

To be honest, no matter how much I tell you about the experience, there wouldn’t be enough words to describe the feeling. I was even a tiny bit scared as I am not so comfortable with heights but hey… I survived. It is my honest recommendation that you visit Bjelasnica if not in summer, then in winter for sure!
