Vintgar Canyon, also known as Blejski Vintgar, is 1.6 kilometers long, and the canyon walls are 50 to 100 meters high, with a total slope of about 250 meters.

The best accommodation close to Vintgar can be found at the Hotel Triglav in Bled.

The Radovna River has created numerous erosive features such as pools and rapids and ends with the picturesque Šum waterfall, 13 meters high.

Vintgar was first discovered in 1891 when local photographer Benedikt Lergetporer found a path through the forest leading to this natural wonder.

Since then, the canyon has become one of the favorite destinations for nature lovers, adventurers, and photographers.

Without a doubt, Vintgar Canyon is one of the most magical places to visit in Slovenia. If you’re looking for an amazing experience to add to your trip through this country, be sure to put Vintgar Canyon on your list.
