Gastronomic offer of Hotel Buna

On our way to Mostar, hungry and looking for a good place to eat, we stopped by Buna village, a small place situated on the Buna River about 12 kilometers from the city. Driving by, we noticed that right next to the river, a Hotel Buna is located.

The hotel looked pretty impressive from the outside, so we thought the food might be as well.. and we were not wrong…

The moment we got out of the car, and entered the backyard, a beautiful burbling sound was attracting us to sit down, even if it was just for a drink or two.

Once we finally found a free table right next to the river banks(we were lucky), a waiter approached us with a menu. He must have recognized our hungry faces…

Hm… how about a meat platter with potatoes and vegetables for two and a marinated duck breast in cherry sauce and grated potatoes… and for a drink, 2 beers and sparkling water.

The food came pretty quickly, and it was gone in just several minutes. Yes.. we were indeed hungry, but also the food was good as well. You just can’t let such a delicious meal get cold.

And while we waited for our stomachs to rest before we jump to the afternoon coffee as well, we made sure to take some photos so we can show you around. So here you go…

Let’s talk about the prices now. The meat platter was 20.46 euros (40 KM), marinated duck breast 12.79 euros (25 KM), the price of one beer was 1.53 euros (3 KM), sparkling water was 1.02 euros (2 KM), and americano coffe 1.28euros (2.5 KM) per piece. The total bill for the three of us was 80.50 KM which is around 41 euros. Pretty fair for the amount of things we ordered, concerning the location and that the restaurant is part of a 4* hotel.

Sadly we didn’t have the chance to experience the full offer of this hotel, which we are sure is equally excellent as the food, but we will make sure to fix that on our next tour.
