Located in the heart of the Val Formazza Valley, the Toce waterfall is a real gem among European waterfalls. With its height of 143 meters, it is considered one of the most beautiful and highest waterfalls in the Alps. Its magnificent waterfall into the valley leaves a strong impression on every visitor, but only when you stand in front of it do you feel its full energy.

The waterfall is fed by the river Toce, and the water is released from the artificial lake Morasco, which is used for hydroelectric power. Although the waterfall is not seen at its full capacity all year round, in the summer months from June to September to be precise,  water is released in a large volume, turning this place into a real spectacle.

The waterfall is located approximately 1,700 meters above sea level, and access is very easy. If you come by car, you can park at the Bar restaurant, which is located above the waterfall. This restaurant offers not only delicious local food but also an amazing panoramic view of the valley and the waterfall. Above the waterfall, there is also a viewpoint from which you will have an even better view of the waterfall and the surrounding alpine landscape.

Not far from the restaurant itself, there is a marked hiking trail that leads to its very foot, passes through an enchanting landscape, and definitely offers a different view of the waterfall.
