The Savinja River is one of the most beautiful and significant rivers in Slovenia. It rises in the heart of the picturesque Logar Valley, located in the northern part of the country, in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Its main source, the Rinka Waterfall, is one of the highest waterfalls in Slovenia and attracts many visitors with its spectacular appearance.
The Savinja flows through diverse landscapes and several picturesque towns, including Mozirje, Celje, and Laško, before flowing into the Sava River at Zidani Most. The river’s total length is approximately 102 kilometers, and along its course, it creates numerous opportunities for recreation and adventure.
