Today we celebrate! Two years, thousands of readers, one Adria region!

On June 1st, 2023, we set off with an idea – to create a place that lovingly and curiously uncovers the beauty of the Adria region, where different cultures, religions, landscapes, and histories meet and intertwine. Two years later, over 25,000 people from all around the world read the Adria.fun portal every month!

Our largest audiences come from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Serbia, Montenegro, the USA, Slovenia, Albania, the UK, Austria, the Netherlands, and Sweden… but we’re pleasantly surprised by new visitors from across the globe every month. We’re especially proud that half of our content is read in English, showing how much our region’s stories resonate with an international audience.

From day one, we’ve followed a simple rule: we write about places we’ve personally visited. We go out in the field as much as possible, dive deep into research, and care about every little detail. We don’t believe in copy-pasting. We believe in walking, observing, talking to people, and taking our photos. And we have no intention of stopping. We’ve traveled a lot, and there are still many stories we can’t wait to tell you!

In the years ahead, we hope to introduce even more languages, more stories, and more authentic experiences. As you may already know, last year we also launched a series of events dedicated to the gastronomy and enology of our beautiful region through the UNDERGROUND ADRIA project. We started locally, but this year our colleagues from Slovenia joined in, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Zagreb — thanks to whom our festival was given the status of a partner country.

We have big plans for expansion – not only for events we organize ourselves, but also through exciting collaborations with others. Much of it will soon become a reality. But the most important thing we already have: you, the reader, to whom we can honestly and simply say: thank you.

Thank you for being here, for traveling with us, and for exploring the most fascinating corners of the Adria region together.

We can’t wait to show you what we’re working on!

Warmest regards,

Paula Kovačić Taha
Editor-in-Chief of Adria.fun

Once I saw that there was a bigger world out there, so I made myself be a part of it.
