When your journey takes you to Kranjska Gora, visit Martuljek Falls!
When your journey takes you to Kranjska Gora, and you have hiking shoes with you, not, for example, flip-flops, then you must visit the Martuljek Waterfalls near Gozd Martuljek. 🙂
The Martuljek Waterfalls are located in an idyllic alpine environment below the peak of Špik (2472 n/m). They are part of Triglav National Park, the oldest national park in Slovenia, which further emphasizes the importance of preserving this natural treasure.
The Martuljek Lower Waterfall is the smallest of the two waterfalls, but together with the gorge, it is very picturesque. It is 29 meters high and then descends through a gorge with several smaller waterfalls. The canyon that leads from the waterfall to the valley is 350 meters long and 100 meters high.

Martuljek waterfalls are not only a place to admire nature, but also a great area for outdoor activities. Numerous walking and hiking trails lead to these falls, offering you the opportunity to explore the surrounding forests and mountain peaks.
Visiting the waterfalls is best in the spring after the rainy season because that’s when they are the most flowing, but you won’t go wrong visiting them at any time of the year.
