When you’re in Vukovar, try ćevapi at grill Đani
In the very east of Croatia, next to the mighty Danube, Vukovar stands proudly and many will visit it these days. I also did it twenty days ago when I was passing through Ilok.

After walking through the city center, I smelled barbecue somewhere, so I immediately wanted to eat something myself. The smell came from the Đani grill, a bit archaic in appearance, but with a good visit. It’s an old rule when you’re in a place you don’t know enough, sit in a restaurant where there are people, which should guarantee quality.

The waiter was at the table in a second, and my minor doubt was a stuffed burger or ćevapi. I quickly make the decision that it should be ćevapi, so while you say biscuit here is the legendary Vukovar beer on my table.

I waited no more than 15 minutes for ćevapi, and the appearance, smell, and taste were excellent. The bun was also perfect, moderately soaked in fat and with a nice golden yellow color, which I normally prefer.

And the price I paid was “normal”. Big ćevapi for 7 euros and Vukovar beer for 3. All in all, if you’re a kebab lover, I recommend it!
