Zdrava voda – a perfect restaurant with a view of Neretva
If the road takes you from Banja Luka towards Mostar or the sea, then you will almost certainly pass through the colorful Jablanica, known for the bridge on the Neretva that was destroyed during the Second World War and was filmed in the movie Battle of the Neretva.
And that Jablanica has positioned itself as a famous gastronomic center with several restaurants that offer the greatest specialty of this region – lamb on a spit. Some say that here is the best lamb in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but in my opinion, that is a bit pretentious. But if it’s popular, that’s for sure.

The first restaurant you will come across in the direction of the sea is the famous Zdrava Voda, which has been there since 1967. When the parking lot is crowded, you know that it is a place where people like to come.

Although the parking lot was full, there was room in the restaurant, even in the first row with a view of the Neretva and that famous bridge.
Restaurant Zdrava Voda offers grilled specialties, a large selection of dishes to order, fresh pasture and a Jablanica specialty – lamb on a spit. The price per kilo is 45 KM or 23 euros, which is a very favorable price for Zagreb standards.

This time I didn’t go check it out because I wasn’t hungry at the time of passing by, but I take a word for it that it’s extraordinary. In a short passage through the restaurant, I got the impression of fast service, and the restaurant’s guests were literally from all over the world.
