The Eye of Skakavica is situated about 2 kilometers away from Vusanje village within Ropojan Valley which can be reached through a hiking trail. The path is very easy and the whole way you will listen to the joyful sounds of water.
This beautiful karst spring is about 30 meters long, 25 meters wide, and about 8 meters deep while the temperature of the spring is around 5°C, and swimming is not advised.
From here the Skakavica River starts creating steeping waterfalls all the way to Gruja waterfall, where it falls more than 15 meters and continues towards Ali Pasha’s springs after which it eventually enters the Vruja river.
This magical crystal-clear water is located 1000 meters above sea level within powerful and snowy Prokletije so the best time to visit it is in the spring and summer months when the water flow calms down after a very long winter.
