Sava Bohinjka, which originates from Lake Bohinj and continues its way south towards Bled, joins after 41 kilometers with Sava Dolinka, next to the town of Radovljica, and then forms the river Sava, the longest river in the Adria region.

But the river is not only an attraction for tourists. The local population of Bohinj often uses the shores of Bohinjka for recreation, picnics, and relaxation in the natural environment. In summer, the banks of the river turn into colorful oases where families gather, and children play on the sandbars.
