Travel through time in the Royal Village of Kotromanićevo

In the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the banks of the Veličanka River, there is a special place – the Royal Village of Kotromanićevo.

This ethno village, located only 20 kilometers from Doboj towards Derventa, offers a unique experience of returning to the past and was built in honor of the Bosnian king Tvrtko Kotromanić.

Surrounded by untouched nature, the village was built on the property of the Rotor organization. Each vacation house, built in the old style, exudes the spirit of Bosnian kings.

For an even better return to history, royal costumes are also available for photo-taking.

Within the ethno village, there is also an interesting restaurant with traditional cuisine called Kraljevska voda. Unique in its architecture with many artifacts and replicas of medieval coats of arms, shields, swords, and antiques, the restaurant’s interior is reminiscent of an ancient royal house where all the senses will enjoy tasting traditional dishes prepared according to ancient recipes of this region.

As you’re already there, you can relax by fishing on the river or taking a walk along the marked hiking trails using free trekking poles. During the summer, knight tournaments and an ethnic market with local products are held there.

The Royal village of Kotromanićevo is more than a place to rest. It is a place where the past meets the present, where you can enjoy peace and quiet, but also enjoy outdoor activities.
