Wine & walk festival ZAGREB UNDERGROUND is coming soon! The “battle” for the Zagreb’s underground begins!
Last year, more than 5,000 visitors enjoyed the premiere of a new concept of gastro-enological entertainment and hedonism in Zagreb, Rijeka, and Split, where UNDERGROUND festivals were held. This year, the organizers announce an even more exciting tasting journey through the underground of the largest Croatian cities, so for the second time, Tunnel Grič in the center of Zagreb will become the largest urban winery, where the wine & walk festival ZAGREB UNDERGROUND 25, powered by Adria.fun, will once again be held.

This year’s theme of this unique festival of wine, delicacies, and entertainment is who has better wines – Slovenia or Croatia? In the “battle” of wine glasses on 3,000 m2 of space, in a 350-meter-long tunnel, some seventy winemakers from all over Slovenia and Croatia will be taking part. They will bring over 400 of the best wines to this clash, on April 11 and 12 from 3 to 10 p.m., more than 100 of which are premieres. In addition to wine, all visitors to ZAGREB UNDERGROUND will be able to taste the best-cured meat delicacies and cheeses, as well as a selection of excellent domestic and foreign spirits.

In addition to the gastro-enological tastings, the organizers also took care of great entertainment. The renowned Lav Art studio will hold a premiere of four creative paint & wine workshops, which can be registered for a limited number of visitors who want to learn to draw in the Tunnel Grič and at the same time pair wines from the best wineries in Slovenia and Croatia.
There is also the first-ever VIVAX digital wine exhibition designed with the help of artificial intelligence on the theme of famous people from history, who celebrated their greatest works with a glass of wine. The exhibition’s name is very significant – IT ALL STARTED WITH JESUS, who, according to the Gospel of John, performed the greatest miracle for all wine lovers in Cana of Galilee – turning water into wine!

Another novelty is that different bands will perform on the stage at Wine Square in the center of the tunnel every day because ZAGREB UNDERGROUND does not have a repeat. Along with urban hits of funky, soul, reggae, and ska music, on Friday, April 11, the great Ružica (The Voice) Čović and her band will perform, and on Saturday, the masters of good fun, the band Dobre Vibracije, will arrive from Čakovec.
The organizers have also prepared an exciting giveaway, a photo booth, and 360 booth devices for recording fun photo and video works, and in cooperation with the Hangover Museum, additional surprises.

Each visitor will receive an original wine glass, a catalog, and leaflets with discounts for the best Croatian wine restaurants for after dinning and after party bars, and a bottle of Leda water, and the tunnel will be decorated visually and with lighting to mark the occasion. This year, the entrance to it is possible from both Mesnička and Radićeva Streets, and in order to avoid crowds, visitors choose tickets exclusively for the exact time with an interval of 15 minutes.
Tickets are already on sale in the online system ENTRIO, as well as at their points of sale, and like last year, the organizers will donate part of the proceeds from ticket sales to the work of one of Zagreb’s humanitarian associations. Last year, it was the Krijesnice association.
