Porcijunkulovo – traditional summer folk festival

Petar Grašo, Vanna, Juan De Marcos Gonzales and The Euro-Cuban All Stars, Željko Bebek, Crvena jabuka, and Klapa Intrade are leading the Porcijunkulovo folk party this summer, which takes place on the big stage under the walls of the Old Town of Čakovec.

Porcijunkulovo is the most significant tourist event in Međimurje, visited by around 200,000 visitors. The basis of the event is the preservation of the heritage of Međimurje, and in addition to various programs, an annual exhibition of oldtimers is also held there regularly.

The event starts on Friday, July 28, and ends, traditionally, on the feast of Our Lady of the Angels, on Wednesday, August 2.
