Lake Jasna: a hidden beauty in Julian Alps
Approximately 2.2 kilometers from Kranjska Gora you can find a perfect winter and summer escape spot. Hidden in the Julian Alps, in the middle of Zgornjesavska Dolina Valley, a magical lake Jasna is located.
This artificial lake, at the mouth of the Velika and Mala Pišnica streams, is a popular spot for locals and tourists for its stunning turquoise waters and views of the surrounding mountains. The lake is also easily accessible with the Vršićka road both by car or public transportation.

Lake Jasna is fully equipped for every possible activity. If you like walking, the area has paths on which you can go around the lake. If you like cycling, there are also routes you can take and you don’t even have to bring your own bike. Rentals are available at the spot.
If you like swimming, lake Jasna has beaches as well. In winter the area is perfect for winter sports enthusiasts or those looking to enjoy cozy views over the mountains.
The only thing you need to decide which season suits you best, or choose both.

Besides taking a joyful walk, having a picnic, or even testing on cycling routes, you can enjoy a large gastronomic offer and try out some local food and drinks.
