Cvrcka springs on the slopes of Mount Čemernica, together with the rivers Vrbas and Ugar. It is formed by two main streams – Međurača at 1200 meters above sea level and Vukača at 1150 meters. After the Bukovica river joins it on the way, Cvrcka enters a beautiful, although steep and inaccessible canyon 17 kilometers long, which in some places reaches a depth of even 500 meters.
Cvrcka is the largest left tributary of the river Vrbanja, which flows into it not far from Kotor Varoš.

Beautiful waterfalls, whirlpools, and caves are hidden in the Cvrcka canyon. Not so long ago, every house in this area had its watermill, and today it is most famous for the so-called fairy springs – Vilenska vrela, whose cascades attract visitors from all over the world. Surrounded by greenery, the waterfalls create an idyllic scene up to 40 meters high, where the water falls into the pond and continues along Cvrcka.
Legend has it that fairies used to wash in this place, and local belief claims that the water stops flowing when fairies stay in this area.

A visit to the river Cvrcka and its magical waterfalls provides a unique experience that combines natural beauty with the mystique of ancient stories. To access the canyon and waterfalls, it is recommended to come from the direction of the village of Živnice or Bastaji near Kneževo, with the recommendation to go with a guide due to the demanding terrain and potential dangers.
The hiking trail was recently renovated and now provides access to the spring via a wooden bridge.
