Delicious pizza a la Fratelli at Ulcinj promenade
When you first arrive in any new city you haven’t been to before, finding a good restaurant can be difficult because online reviews aren’t always accurate and people’s tastes vary. We always try to make our reviews as honest as possible, including this one about a pizzeria and restaurant that we came across during our first visit to Ulcinj in Montenegro!
Distracted by all the beauty that Montenegro has to offer, on our way from Virpazar, we arrived at Ulcinj. Before heading to Hotel Palata Venezia, we stopped by the main promenade and immediately started investigating. At one point, we ended up crossing paths with Ibiza beach bar and had a cold refreshing drink as the heat those days wasn’t so merciful to us.
While we were passing the stands of older ladies down the Ulcinj Walk, smelling dried figs and testing on local rakija, the appetite opened up. This is when at the very entrance to the Ulcinj small beach, in the direction of the promenade, we came across an interesting restaurant Fratelli Restaurant & Pizzeria that, besides its main restaurant terrace, had a ship-shaped structure with tables.

The moment we sat down at the table, a lovely waiter came to serve us. As we looked at the menu, from pizzas, meat platters, pasta, salads, and fresh seafood we decided upon – Two Capriciosas and one Al tono (tuna), two half-liter beers, and big sparkling water, please.

After just 15 minutes, the pizza was on our table and the taste test began.
Once all the flavors and thoughts were summarized we concluded that out of all the pizzas we tried by that point on our Adria tour, Fratelli had the most delicious one. The dough was super crispy but not dry and not too thick, the ingredients were also of solid quality. What we missed is just a little bit more tomato sauce, but that varies on your liking.

Now for the end let’s discuss the prices. Capriciosa pizza (350 g) was 9 euros per piece (18 euros in total), Al tono (350 g) was also 9 euros, 2 beers were 8 euros, and sparkling water 0.75l was 4 euros. Solid price considering the size of the meal and its location.
All in all, the team agreed, that the next time we come back to Ulcinj, we will definitely stop by Fratelli to try something new from their menu. If you are passing by and looking for a good meal, keep in mind that this restaurant is definitely Adria.fun approved.
