Pearl of Ulcinj – Hotel Palata Venezia

I have slept in many hotels, in good and interesting locations, but the position of Hotel Palata Venezia left me breathless. It is located in the heart of Ulcinj’s Old Town, on a prominent cliff and facing the main city beach with a view worth a million euros!

It is equally impressive to look at the entire Old Town and the landscape in which this hotel – the museum is located, which bears witness to the rich history woven into every stone from which the walls were built. I looked at this picture for a long time, and it is so etched in my memory that even when I close my eyes, it is still in front of me.

It’s easy to get to the hotel, but parking is a bit more difficult. Due to its specific location, Hotel Palata Venezia does not have its parking lot, so you have to park in the public parking lot, but your luggage will be picked up by a small electric vehicle that can pass through the narrow city streets.

The kind hosts accommodated the Adria fun team in a comfortable apartment in the right tower at the highest position so that we felt like royalty. The apartment was truly large and equipped following the rank and importance of this historic building. Hotel Palata Venezia hold four stars.

The hotel restaurant Miguel de Cervantes is a special story. It was named after a famous Spanish writer, who, according to legend, was Ulcinj’s son-in-law and slave.

The outside part of the restaurant is located on several levels, and from each, it is possible to have an exceptional view of the city, so it was a pleasure to dine there with the music of the artist on the piano.

The restaurant has very tasty dishes with normal prices, and hotel guests get an additional 10% discount, so we used that to taste black risotto and linguine with prawns. In the morning, of course, a rich breakfast followed.

If you don’t feel like going to the beach, you can enjoy swimming in the hotel’s swimming pool or relax in the hotel’s fitness center or sauna. I didn’t try the fitness and sauna this time, but frolicking in the pool was mandatory.

It is difficult to describe everything beautiful about this unique hotel because it offers, so many interesting and historical things. There are also two museums and an exciting story about the Ulcinj pirates, and each canton of the Old Town has its specialty.

I don’t know about you, but I will come to Ulcinj again, and hopefully, I will manage to book a night in this beautiful facility, which, apart from accommodation, offers so much history and famous Montenegrin hospitality.
