1. NIAGARA FALLS
If you haven’t heard that Niagara Falls is also located in Montenegro, then you will surely think that we are crazy and that this must be some kind of mistake, because everyone knows that Niagara Falls is located in the United States of America. Although this is also true, know that there is no mistake.
They are located in Podgorica, exactly 10 minutes by car from the city center, in the village of Rakića Kuće, and the Cijevna river is responsible for them, so you will often hear them called Cijevna waterfalls.
In addition to natural beauty, they are a great place to cool off on hot summer days.

2. THE ANCIENT CITY OF DUKLJA
That the area of Podgorica has been attractive since ancient times is shown by the remains of the ancient city of Duklja, which is located only 3 kilometers outside the center. It is considered to date from the very beginnings of the new era, and perhaps even earlier.
At that time, its position was important for the development of this region and the city because of the former important road of the Roman Empire, and today it offers a unique opportunity to peek into their rich past.

The legacies of the Ottoman Empire are really everywhere, and besides the most famous one in the center of Sarajevo, the Clock Tower in Podgorica stands out the most.
It is located in the old part of the city, on Bećir-beg Osmanagić Square in the Stara Varoš neighborhood, where this symbol of the city has been quietly watching over for almost 360 years.
In addition to the function of guarding the city, it also served as a city clock and a landmark for many travelers.
