The oldest bridge in Podgorica is also a favorite romantic spot!
This favorite romantic place is especially loved by the people of Podgorica, and the younger generations also popularly call it Skaline.
The old stone bridge is located at the confluence of Ribnica and Morač rivers and is believed to date back to Roman times. In any case, it is the oldest in the capital of Montenegro.
According to the available data, this bridge is one of the few remains of the former Roman city that was located in this area.
Older residents of Podgorica also call this bridge the Sastavci Bridge, because the area around the confluence of Ribnica and Morač was called Sastavci.
