Sophie Cafe is a hot spot for coffee drinkers
When you are in Albania for the first time, you don’t know much about where you can drink good coffee, especially if you don’t want to drink the ubiquitous espresso or cappuccino, but perhaps traditional Turkish coffee.
One of the places I can recommend is the Sophie Caffe chain of coffee shops located in larger cities such as Tirana or Durres.

Sophie Caffe belongs to the top five coffee bars in Albania according to visitors’ ratings, which I agree with. In addition to the beautiful interior and drinks, they also offer doughnuts, cakes, sandwiches… Guests also praise the brownies, which I haven’t tried as it was not in stock.

The specificity of this place is that they have their own two radio stations, Sophie Caffe Radio and Sophie Bohemian Radio, which you can listen to in the cafe but also online.
You will surely be interested in the prices! Turkish coffee served in a nice cup and traditional cezve, is 1.2 euros, a 0.5 l bottle of Glina water is 0.90 euros, and a 0.33 l Peja beer is 2.6 euros. You get chips for free! 🙂
