Where for the weekend? A great opportunity for chocolate and wine lovers is hidden in Podčetrtek!

If you love chocolate and great wine, then on April 27th you must hurry to Slovenia for the Wine and Chocolate Festival!

At the very border with Croatia, in Podčetrtek, a town only an hour away from Zagreb, a unique festival is held where visitors will be able to try various combinations of chocolate with local wines.

It is a town that, in addition to Jelenov Greben, Olimje Monastery, and thermal waters, is also famous for the Olimje Chocolate Factory, which transferred its family tradition from Vienna to Podčetrtek, and today offers a wide range of handmade chocolate products such as pralines, bars, and chocolates.

The charm of making chocolate desserts did not remain only at the factory but also spread to small family businesses, which for the 9th year in a row will present the best of the sweetest. There will be various types and flavors that will go perfectly with the wines at as many as 55 stands.

However, in addition to the excellent offer of wine and chocolates, there is also a culinary tent where the Gostlina Krpan, Kozjanski dvor, and Terme Olimia will be waiting for you, and there will also be a cake-baking competition that will intrigue many.

For adults there is a festival beach and a cafe to enjoy, and for the youngest, a playground, a corner with various workshops, and a tourist train.

Of course, the entire event will be accompanied by various performances, and the titles of Best Wine House and Best Chocolate Bar will be awarded as chosen by visitors.

To get to know the region and the traditions of Kozjanski Park even better, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the work of the park and try various delicacies from the area itself.
