This beautiful lake provides a home for numerous plant species that can only be found in this part of the world. Around the lake grows a lush forest dominated by the eagle, a species that has become a symbol of the Biogradska gora National Park. This forest is one of the last remaining European rainforests and is more than 500 years old.
Lake Biograd is also a habitat for many animal species, including wild boars, roe deer, bears, and rare species of fish. For ornithologists, this is a paradise destination, as the lake attracts various species of birds, including eagles and herons, and their habitat is extremely important.
