Palmižana, paradise for sailors!

The Pakleni islands, a group of about 20 islets and rocks, are located near Hvar, the most famous island in central Dalmatia. On one of them is located Palmižana, a paradise haven, and some would say a fancy-schmancy place, which offers boaters the possibility of escaping from the hectic rhythm of everyday life and immersing themselves in a peaceful oasis of untouched nature.

Palmižana is a favorite destination of sailors and tourists who come by boat from the 20-minute fast drive away from Hvar. Palmižana is also known for its nautical marina, many restaurants, bars, and places of hedonistic enjoyment.

Vinogradisce Bay, which can be reached on foot from the neighboring marina, is located on the southern side of the island, and is surrounded by a dense pine forest and delights with the scents of heather and rosemary, as well as many other exotic plants. This is a favorite place for swimming and diving in the crystal clear sea.
