Nearby Sanski Most, a town situated on the banks of the Sana River in Bosnia and Herzegovina, driving about 17 minutes towards Donji Kamengrad and Naprelje villages, following the river Bliha upstream you will come across one of the most beautiful and richest waterfalls in the whole country.
Thanks to the Bliha River, the left tributary of the Sana River, which springs near Skucani Vakuf village, at 450 meters above sea level, we can witness the finest of nature monuments such as the Bliha waterfall!
Despite its relatively short length of approximately 24 kilometers, the power of the Bliha River is evident. This river can definitely create something as enchanting as the Bliha waterfall, proving that such natural wonders can come from shorter watercourses.

The waterfall Bliha, also known as Blihin Skok, is situated at the 9th kilometer of the Bliha River. Upon reaching the parking lot near the Bistro Vodopad Bliha, you’ll embark on a short walk through stunning natural surroundings, following the trail that leads to the waterfall. Upon arrival, prepare to be captivated by this impressive natural monument, boasting a height of over 56 meters and a width of approximately 10 meters.
Numerous legends are associated with the Bliha waterfall, and although there are several versions, they all have a common ending. The story ends with twin sisters seeking solace by jumping off the cliffs, and it is believed that their tears led to this enchanting and peculiar waterfall.

The best time to visit the Bliha waterfall is undoubtedly during spring when the melting snow enhances its splendor. However, regardless of the season, it promises to be a worthwhile experience.
Exploring the Bliha waterfall during the summer months is perfect for those seeking a refreshing escape spot from the heat. Additionally, the waterfall exhibits a magical atmosphere during winter months as well, especially if it’s adorned with snow and ice, so make sure to visit it then as well.
The entrance fee to the waterfall is 1.5 euros for adults and 50 cents for children.
