Family Day: Turkey and Wine

This year as well make sure to put August 20 on your calendar, because the  Family Day: Turkey and Wine will be held in Sveti Križ Začretje from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

This is a unique opportunity to taste Zagorje’s best-roasted turkey with mlinci ( dry flatbread cooked in salted water) for free. You will also be able to taste ajngemahtec (a type of chicken soup with green peas and fork noodles) and other Zagorje dishes prepared for you by the famous chef Tomislav Špiček together with local restaurants, and winemakers from the wine fairy tale will offer you the best from their cellars.

Family Day: Turkey and Wine is part of a wider manifestation, which takes place from August 19 to 26 under the name Festival of amateur singers and Kids Festival “Prvi glas Zagorja”. Take a look at the rich and varied program, which again this year brings many contents, and be sure to visit Sveti Križ Začretje.
