Once known as the site of Sveta Lucija na Mostu, this area has one of the most important prehistoric sites in Europe, with more than 7,000 burial sites discovered. These rich finds date from the Late Bronze Age to the Roman period, and most of them originate from the Iron Age, associated with the so-called culture of Saint Lucia. Artifacts found in this area are exhibited in museums in Vienna, Trieste, and Tolmin, testifying to the importance and wealth of this historical region.

In addition to its history and interesting narrow streets that gradually descend towards the river, Most na Soči stands out most for its lake – an attraction created by constructing the Doblar hydroelectric power plant. Although artificial, the lake retains the emerald color of the Soča River, providing a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation and recreation.

The walks around the lake are ideal for nature lovers and photographers, and the area is also popular with anglers, thanks to the rich fish stock.
