What is the highest peak in Croatia?
Croatia does not have mountain peaks higher than 2000 meters like other countries in the Adria region. Its highest peak is Dinara, which reaches 1,831 meters above sea level.

Dinara or national Sinjal is located in the southeastern part of Croatia in the territory of Šibenik-Knin County, 15 kilometers northeast of the city of Knin and southeast along the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is assumed that this mountain range got its name from the Illyrian tribe Dindara, who lived on the eastern side of the mountain.
However, the highest peak of Dinara is not Sinjal, but Veliki Troglav (1,913 n/m), which is located in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, about 2 kilometers away from Sinjal.
Dinara is still quite a wild mountain where you can meet various animals such as wolves, foxes, jackal, weasels, mink, bears, lynx, wild boar, and chamois.
From the top, you can see in all directions, northeast to Troglav and Konj, southeast to Lake Peručko, south to Kijevski Kozjak and Svilaja, and west to Promin.
