You can see much further from the top!

Medvednica is an extremely rare example of a Nature Park entering the capital of a country. At its top is the Sljeme transmitter tower, one of the symbols of Zagreb. Every pillar has its own history and function, and when it was built in the seventies of the last century, one of the purposes was a lookout point. It only took about fifty years for that to finally come true.

If you enjoy a great view and are not afraid of heights, now you can see the city of Zagreb as if in the palm of your hand, and at the same time half of Croatia, and the peaks of mountains in Slovenia, Hungary and even Austria, and that from an altitude of 1118 meters, that is, 86 meters from the earth.

Namely, the viewpoint on the Sljeme transmitter is finally open, from which you can take selfies to your heart’s content and brag about them to your friends or followers on social networks. The organizer also announces a zipline, but I understand that there will be nothing from the panoramic restaurant.

The viewpoint is open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on weekends from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., so no night shots. The ticket price is 10 euros for adults, and 5 to 7.5 euros for children, depending on age.

However, he takes care that the Sljeme tower may be closed, without special notice, especially in the following cases: due to announced or sudden bad weather conditions or strong wind, due to the closure of the access road, due to cable car service, due to breakdowns and/or equipment maintenance in the OIV tower Sljeme or when due to part of the year (e.g. off-season) it is expected that there will not be enough visitors on Sljeme.
