A unique hotel in the center of former royal capital – Gradska!

If I had to choose which hotel belongs to my TOP 3 favorite facilities, in which I have stayed so far, I would definitely mention the name Hotel Gradska in the former royal capital of Cetinje. This was also the joint assessment of the Adria.fun team.

I was fascinated not only by the hotel, but also by Cetinje and its history, culture, beautiful buildings, greenery, but also the tranquility that is hard to find in urban areas.

Hotel Gradska is located on Dvorski trg, the central square in the city, surrounded by greenery and a beautiful outdoor terrace, from which everything you need to see in Cetinje is only a few hundred meters away by walking along the beautiful city promenade.

The building of today’s hotel was once the family home of Duke Ivo Radonjić, then the Bulgarian embassy, until the break of diplomatic relations between the two countries during the Balkan wars.

In the 1970s, there was the famous Gradska kavana, and today it is an excellent and unique boutique hotel with five stars.

The charm of this facility is given by only nine luxurious and spacious apartments, each unique in itself, so I felt like a part of the modern aristocracy living the country life and enjoying every moment spent there.

I have never seen such a large bathroom before, so the pleasure of relaxing in the shower after driving in a car at 37 degrees was truly magical.

Everything I saw, touched, or desired in this hotel was flawless. I would especially emphasize the friendliness of the Gradska hotel staff and the perfectionist cleanliness everywhere you turn. The famous cafe still operates within the hotel, and they also have their own restaurant.

It’s a special treat to stay outdoors in the hotel garden, as it is summer, where you can find small waterfalls in the shade of umbrellas and greenery, where bubbling water makes it easier to bear the heat.

There I tasted a superb and abundant Montenegrin breakfast, with freshly squeezed orange, which is not quite standard in the offer of other establishments that usually offer an industrial version.

All that is beautiful last for short, and that includes my stay at the Gradska Hotel in Cetinje. Even today, when I’m writing this text, ten days after I returned to work, I can’t take the smile off my face when I look at the photos we took in this unique hotel, which has all my recommendations.
