Štrudlafest in Jaškovo: a weekend full of strudels, workshops and concerts
When I first set foot in Jaškovo last year, the village of strudel, I was amazed by the warmth and cheerfulness of the whole place. From the scent of freshly baked strudels to lively workshops and the laughter of children on picnic meadows, everything had a special charm. And now, one year later, a great celebration is ahead of us: the jubilee tenth Štrudlafest, taking place on September 6 and 7, with a rich program and the most ambitious challenge so far, an attempt to break the Guinness record with a strudel three kilometers long.

The record strudel and a weekend to remember
Saturday morning in Jaškovo opens in the spirit of creativity and tradition. From the Slama show by Nikola Faller to workshops for children and families, the whole village breathes in the rhythm of strudel. Particularly attractive are the guided activities in nature. At 10:00 am and again at 4:00, you can join the walking tour called Strudel step by step. At the same time, in the orchard, the cheerful Strudlomanijak picnic awaits. Adventurers can head to the river Dobra at 10:00 am or 5:00 pm for the Strudel by kayak safari, while cycling fans can join the Strudel by bike at 4:30 pm, combining sport and sweet flavors.
A special highlight will be the preparation and measuring of the record strudel, and after the record is announced, all visitors will be able to taste a piece of the record breaker and contribute to a charity cause. On the main and gastro stage, folklore ensembles from across Croatia will perform, while the evening will close with a concert by Hrvatske ruže.

Experiences beyond strudel
Besides the main program, the whole village comes alive in the festive spirit. At Ranch Kovač, the festival actually begins on Friday, September 5, with homemade strudels, burgers, and a variety of activities for children, all set in an authentic atmosphere decorated with hay and straw. Those looking for something unique can also sail along the Kupa river on the historic grain boat Zora, where expert guides share the history of river trade while visitors enjoy the famous Štrudlafest strudels filled with cheese and apples.
