One of the most recognizable characteristics of the river is the beautiful Pliva waterfall, located in the heart of Jajce. This waterfall, about 22 meters high, is one of the few waterfalls in the world that is located in the very center of the city and is considered one of the most beautiful natural scenes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Pliva joins the Vrbas River here, creating a magnificent union of two mighty rivers.

Pliva waterfall is not only a natural attraction; it is also home to the annual diving, a traditional event that gathers divers from all over the region. This event has become a symbol of summer in Jajce and provides a spectacular sight for visitors.

These lakes are a real paradise for lovers of fishing, rowing, and relaxing along the coast. They are ideal for water sports, while their surroundings attract hikers and cyclists. They are particularly attractive because of their untouched nature and clear water, which provide ideal conditions for enjoying peaceful days outdoors.

However, the Pliva River is not only a natural beauty. Its history and cultural significance are also worthy of attention. On the river, there are also Pliva mills, ancient wooden watermills that are also affectionately called mlinčići. Some of them are over 400 years old.

Located on the shores of the lake, these mills are not only a symbol of cultural heritage but also a monument of the former way of life.
