4. LAKE CERKNICA
One of the most underrated lakes in Slovenia, Lake Cerknica, is located just 50 kilometers southwest of beautiful Ljubljana. The lake is so special that you can only see it in spring or autumn, especially after it rains. During the rest of the year, it is quite dry because the water is withdrawn into underground reservoirs.

5. LAKE KRN
Located in the very southwest of the National Park Triglav, not far from Kobarid, in the heart of the Krn mountain after which it got its name, and under the glaciers on impermeable reddish limestone at 1391 meters above sea level, Krn Lake, the largest high-altitude lake in Slovenia, is tucked away.
Because of its beautiful green water, the reflection of mountains and nature, silence and the occasional breeze, this lake is a true little paradise for nature lovers, hikers, and photographers.
